"Let me start off by saying that I never post reviews but this Doctor definitely deserves it. I had liposuction done by him and he exceeded my expectations. So much so that I have referred many of my clients to him. My body has made a complete transformation. Dr. Del Vecchio is very honest and to the point. I first had a consultation in 2018 but didn't decide to get the procedure until this year. My only regret is not doing it sooner. His new staff is very attentive and helpful. They went out of their way to help me through the entire process from beginning to end."- A.B. / Yelp / Oct 09, 2019

"I had a bbl procedure with Dr. D in 2017 and I have to say that I absolutely love my results! He really outdid himself and I could not be happier with my results. In addition to giving me outstanding results, Dr. D gave me back my confidence back. I am able wear sexy and complimentary clothes and I feel great. I love his work so much that I will be going back for a second round! Hands down one of the best in the business!!!"- S.F. / Google / Oct 04, 2019
"Dr. Daniel A. Delvecchio is the best of the best. I have had many many cosmetic surgeries with many many surgeons all around the world and so I have the experience to say he is the best. I have been to 2 of his offices, the one in NYC & Boston. They’re gorgeous & clean. To have a great doctor he must not only be experienced but intelligent & confident. Dr. D is so confident in his work & I love that. There is nothing more reassuring than knowing when you wake up you’re going to get the results you want. I read somewhere that he humiliates women? His entire office staff is women. I personally have sent SIX of my own friends and family to him as well & they have ALL been elated with their results. Anyone who speaks negatively on his name or practice is not only ignorant but they’re giving inaccurate information. If they don’t have good results it’s how their own personal body is reacting and not how his technique. I know for a fact that Dr. D travels all around the world to learn new things & is beyond informed with the latest & greatest techniques. When I did my surgery with him, he gave me his cell # & was available to me 24/7 with anything I needed. Other doctors I’ve used have passed me onto their assistants but he helped me himself. I can only speak for myself but the other 6 people that I have sent to him have their own judge of character and opinions-they have been nothing less than thrilled. You also don’t get an office on Newbury St. in Boston Mass if you are not top notch."- M.C. / Google / Sep 18, 2019
"I was browsing forever for a good BBL surgeon, I decided to go with DelVecchio and I would choose him over and over again. He is very straightforward and will not give you false expectations. I love that he works with most body shapes. I have had successfully multiple rounds with him with no problems. Any concerns I had he was quick to answer via email or text and follow up appointments. You won’t regret his work. I get compliments EVERYDAY AND I LOVE IT!"- M.M. / Google / Sep 22, 2019
You may be an ideal candidate for revision rhinoplasty if you want to amend or repair the effects of your previous rhinoplasty procedure. The revision surgery is mainly done to restore or alter the form and function of your nose. You should be looking for a lifetime solution and have reasonable expectations before going into a revision procedure. You should also understand that this procedure can be much more complicated than the original rhinoplasty.
Prior to performing nose revision surgery, Dr. Del Vecchio will discuss your situation during a consultation to determine your unique needs and goals before creating a treatment plan. For the actual operation, Dr. Del Vecchio will either use an open or closed approach. While using the open technique, which is the most common, Dr. Del Vecchio will separate the skin from the cartilage and bone, which allows for more visibility. Dr. Del Vecchio will then reshape the nose to the desired frame. The closed technique is a less invasive technique often chosen for less complicated repairs. In some cases of revision rhinoplasty, a bone or cartilage graft may be needed to help with the reconstruction process for strengthening the architecture of the nose.
What to Expect
Revision rhinoplasty is usually performed under general anesthesia. The duration of your surgery depends on the amount of reconstruction and whether the open or closed technique was used. Following the procedure, you will be required to wear a nose splint for approximately a week and may be asked to schedule a follow-up appointment to remove both the splint and stitches. This will also allow Dr. Del Vecchio to assess your results. Due to the fact that revision surgery can most often be more complex than the primary surgery, the recovery may be a tad longer. You may experience substantial bruising and heavy swelling, as well as some pain for around two weeks.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a revision rhinoplasty cost?
The cost of a revision rhinoplasty varies greatly based on the amount of reconstruction needed. During your initial consultation, Dr. Del Vecchio will listen to your concerns and goals before assessing your nose. Once a revision rhinoplasty surgical plan is created, he will be able to more accurately determine your costs. Dr. Del Vecchio can also discuss payment options and give you information on low-interest medical financing to help make your revision rhinoplasty easier to afford.
How long should I wait after my original rhinoplasty?
It's important to give your nose time to heal after a rhinoplasty. In many cases, it can take over a year for inflammation to fully subside and the final shape of your nose to be visible. Once your nose has completely recovered from rhinoplasty, you should take time to assess how you feel about the appearance before scheduling a consultation at Back Bay Plastic Surgery for revision rhinoplasty.
How common are revision rhinoplasty procedures?
Rhinoplasty is one of the most popular cosmetic surgeries, and most patients are happy with their results. However, some rhinoplasties may require a second surgery to complete the procedure or to repair minor cosmetic flaws. In a small number of patients, revision rhinoplasty is needed to repair major cosmetic concerns or functional problems created during the original surgery. If you are unhappy in any way with the results of your rhinoplasty by Dr. Del Vecchio or another surgeon, schedule a consultation to learn more about revision rhinoplasty.
How can I ensure that I will receive better results with a revision procedure?
It is extremely important to do your research when looking for a plastic surgeon to perform your revision rhinoplasty. Dr. Del Vecchio is a skilled plastic surgeon with years of training and experience in rhinoplasty with a special interest in revision rhinoplasty. He understands the advanced techniques and extra skill required to perform a revision rhinoplasty without weakening the support structure of your nose.
Will I need cartilage grafting?
For some revision rhinoplasty procedures, cartilage grafting may be necessary. This is performed by taking bone and/or cartilage from a part of the body, such as the ribs, and using it to restructure your nose. Typically, this is only needed in severe cases or if the cartilage was jeopardized during the previous rhinoplasty procedure. Cartilage grafting may be used to help support the structure of your nose so you don't have breathing trouble after surgery. Dr. Del Vecchio will discuss the possibility of cartilage grafting during your consultation.
